Start of 2024. End of a few seasons already...and into the next season. Time waits for no one.

Sunday afternoons spent at the lake are a definite highlight of our week. Tim is happy at work and loving his job, the kids are settled at school and I have special time with my baby in the week. At times it is lonely, but we have so much to be thankful for.

We had a lovely weekend in Dwangwa with the Bootes, when you live in a place like this you end up saying a lot more hello's and goodbye's than is normal. So we say hello to David and Neline but goodbye to Darran and Mae, Jonah and Leila. It was a sad goodbye because our friendship had so much potential and they are off to Australia which is VERY far away. The end of a season that had only just begun.

We loved exploring the trail that they made on the sugar estate down in Duangwa.

They even had their own golf course!

The second season that came to an end is mango season!

The third season to end is the season of having a baby who stays where I put him!

The chicks growing up very quickly!

Friday afternoon treat with the Broughs.

Joel is not as much of a fan of food as his siblings but getting there slowly.

A rare chance to wear their knitted jerseys that are so precious to them, knitted by dear Aunty Jane from church in George.

We went on a spontaneous trip to camp at the lake for a night with our new friends David and Neline. It was a long way to go for a night but the company was good and the lake didn't disappoint. We ended up surviving a huge storm and a few deadly sausages that fell from the sausage tree we were camping under.

We were rowed across to an island where we could snorkel, and we met the tame monkey, 'Mervin' who was left on the island for his safety.

Sometimes I have to pinch myself that these three are actually mine!

Next up: some family time in Blantyre with our cousins!
